Phantom Space Juggernaut

Hi everyone! I had the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and dive into the study and design of a sci-fi aesthetic.
(I absolutely love this style!) One of the first film i saw as a kid was Alien and I was mesmerized; i've played Dead Space for years (and still do!) and Interstellar is my all-time favorite movie. So, this kind of mood really speaks to me :)

I had a lot of fun designing and creating both the 2D and 3D versions of my Phantom Juggernaut. I aimed for a design that doesn’t feel too futuristic, making sure not to deviate too much from existing modern technology. My goal was to create something that could still be seen in the military and space fields within the next 50 years.

Its heavy armor is built to withstand the harshest conditions of deep space, while its engineering tools are designed to be multifunctional yet practical. I wanted to create something that could serve multiple purposes while still being easy to carry, so I came up with an emergency generator that can power up terminals and also function as a storage unit for personal belongings.

I also spent time studying in depth PBR workflow to achieve the most accurate results possible (especially for metals), thanks to an interesting breakdown by Luis Mesquita → https://www.artstation.com/blogs/luismesquita/PwEm/everything-about-pbr-textures-and-a-little-more-part-1
